BIOGRAPHY

Having studied Fine Art Photography with the brilliant and hugely inspiring Thomas Joshua Cooper at the Glasgow School of Art in the 90s, I went on to train as a secondary school Art and Design teacher at the Institute of Education, University of London.

Soon realising that teaching was not the thing for me, I then tried my hand at various other professions.

I worked for a spell as an archivist for the designer Emma Bridgewater and for the publicist Mark Borkowski and have also worked in numerous different roles for Giffords Circus, the Cotswolds' cult vintage travelling circus.

Currently I live by the sea in North Devon and alongside making my own work I do drawings for the graphic design company, Letterfest.

The one thing that never leaves me is the desire to be creative and to express myself by making things.

Travel is my primary source of inspiration and my pictures are portraits of the world and the magic I am looking for within it. They describe places, people and events and often tell stories. I almost always work in three dimensions, and am forever trying to experiment by using a mixture of as many different materials in one piece as I can.

Most of my work is sold privately by commission. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would be interested in buying a piece or having one comissioned.
